On February 3rd 2011, Melbourne’s No Vacancy Gallery played host to the Australian launch of French owned sneaker label Feiyue. Produced by ACCLAIM Events, the launch was a fusion of elements that make up the Feiyue brand identity, beginning with a story-wall designed to take event guests through a sequence of significant events in the Feiyue journey as they entered the venue. A selection of artworks by French artist and Feiyue collaborator Steph.Cop were assembled from his ARO exhibition that included sculptures of wood, ceramic and plastic as well as paintings on sheet metal. Adjacent to this was a range display of Feiyue Spring/Summer 2011 collection displayed to great effect across pieces of old wooden furniture. Artist Reinventions of the Feiyue silhouette and brand by a selection of gifted creatives drawn from Singapore and Australia added the final visual dimension to the launch. Music throughout the night was provided by party-rockin super duo the Dublin Aunts.
A full-house of party guests, comprised of media, fashion industry, art fans and some loyal ACCLAIM party-goers provided a great atmosphere to the launch.
