Tammy complained of ' walking like a Granny', suffering from intense heel pain which was interrupting her life/work and work-outs. She was diagnosed with Plantar fascitis, and foot joint dysfunction. Her gait was evaluated and corrected with exercises and spinal pelvic adjustments. Custom orthotics were made, and she was able to get off all Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), using some natural alternatives to decrease inflammation. While under care she complained of allergies and congestion. Natural supplements were given to support her body work better, resulting in her not needing the allergy drugs any longer. She sustained a shoulder injury later that we diagnosed as rotator cuff tendinitis/bursitis and gleno-humoral joint dysfunction. This was treated with Chiropractic, massage, modalities ( ultrasound/ kinesiotape) and therapeutic exercises. Remember, the foot has 26 bones that all should move and glide just like any other joints in the body. When they get stuck, they can cause a whole lot of pain. Very commonly, the sub-talar joint is restricted...adjusting this often makes a huge difference in speeding the recovery time of foot and heel ( and I might add, Knee and Hip !) problems/pain syndromes.
