Dr. Danny Sands and his patient "e-Patient Dave" tell the story, from both physician and patient perspectives, of Dave's experience as a stage IV cancer patient who used the internet in every way possible to supplement the excellent care he received at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Both became founding officers of the Society for Participatory Medicine, which is advancing the cause of doctor-patient collaboration.
Special interest keynote delivered at the 2010 IHI Forum in Orlando. Thanks to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement for making this video freely available to the public!
