Contra Dancing hosted by Nashville Country Dancers.
Every Friday evening at the Second Presbyterian Church, a community of Nashvillians come to dance in a slightly different style of square dancing most would see in the Music City.
Experienced dancers and some who never danced before come to take part of a traditional dance that is a blend of dances from the British Isles. Everyone who participates loves the live bluegrass music, the energy and having to meet new people every week. After having twirled your partner around or locking elbows with your neighbor for a spin gives a great, immediate friendship and fun.
