This is a five day trip exploring the Island of Lanzarote, looking for some breathing room. A change in daily routine that living in a big city like Barcelona entails, the city where this exploration starts from.
Small experimental episodes, where there isn't firm control over the situation. You observe, feel, touch, try..., various topics. It’s an unexpected production about objects, materials or simply, personal reflections.
The result of this exploration concludes with a limited series of hand-painted experimental prints which are done in natural ink made from the cactus fruit "tuno", from the cactus "tunera", an abundant resource on the island. There are many wild cactus in Lanzarote's countryside, as well as the archipelago in general. Most of the fruit is wasted because no one picks it. The fruit becomes too ripe and falls off. Many birds and animals survive off them but others end up being dried under the Canarian sun. This wasted percentage was collected during the trip to be used as ink afterwards.
