“From Code to Your Eyes: How a Frame Gets Generated in a 3D Video Game,” by Issam Khalil
This talk will give an overview of how 3D rendering works, from the basic to the more advanced techniques used in games currently. We will cover how your computer or game console generates the image that you see on screen, and the amount of work involved to do it.
Issam grew up in Côte d'Ivoire, France, and Canada before coming to the US. He has a B.A. from École Polytechnique de Montréal in Physics and a Master's in Computer Science. He worked at Vicarious Visions (an Activision company) from 2004 to 2012 as a Software Engineer, specializing in graphics, networking and performance. He is currently working on platform puzzle game called Color Thief (colorthiefgame.com)
