The SAN PEDRO ♥ FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS (formerly the SP TriArt Festival), is an annual free family event featuring dance, music, & crafts in the Ports O'Call Village on the waterfront, San Pedro. The heart of the festival has been its emphasis on Dance, with 22-25 dance companies each year, of which about 19 are professional, with the opening acts each day pre-professional or excellent schools. There are 2-5 music groups and 6-10 visual arts/ arts & crafts booths each year. Dance Director/Curator is Louise Reichlin.

2014 - Returning from past years are Ruby Karen Project/ Orange County Aerial Arts, Louise Reichlin & Dancers/ LA Choreographers & Dancers, Hiroshi Hamanishi/ Tap, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Jrick and the Hot Flashers (formerly the Post Pros), Peoples Place, Kenneth Walker Dance Project, San Pedro City Ballet, and Degas Dance Team. New this year are ENCORE Dance Company, APA Repertory Ensemble, Ballet Folklorico Pasion de Mi Tierra/ Gabriel Avila, The Underground Street Dance Co, Tap Overload, The PGK Dance Project/ Peter G Kalivas, Navarasa Dance Theater /Aparna Sindhoor and Anil Natyaveda, Gulistan Dance Theater, Rubans Rouges Dance Company/Noelle Andressen, Grupo Folklorico Tzintzuni, and the Dance Department/ Idyllwild Arts Academy. Both days opened with three pre-professional or regional companies, followed the professional companies. The featured band sponsored by the office of Don Knabe is The Black Tongued Bells. 2015 - Some of the new companies this year include the MKM Bollystars (Indian Dance), Mojácar and Studio Flamenco, Sirenesque Bellydance (middle eastern & audience participation), and B.E. Dance LA, that combines modern dance that creates paintings. Also new are Nebula Dance Lab (modern based in Santa Barbara), CyberYoga, Megill & Company with a humorous rhythm based work, and Rebecca Green Moves (modern). Returning professional dance companies with new works are Louise Reichlin & Dancers/LA Choreographers & Dancers (modern/ ballet), Hiroshi Hamanishi (tap), Ruby Karen Project/Orange County Aerial Arts, Grupo Folklorico Tzintzuni (traditional), Peoples Place (country western & audience participation) and ENCORE Dance Company (jazz/ hip hop/ contemporary). Pre-professional and community categories include both new and returning ArteLuta Capoeira, San Pedro High School Drill/Dance Team, San Pedro City Ballet, Strickly Addikcted Dance Theater (modern), Degas Dance Team, Jrick and the Hot Flashers (hip-hop), and manGO Dance Theatre. The featured band sponsored by the office of Don Knabe is Lisa Haley & the Zydekats. Also Identity Crisis.
