This is a clip from a dual projection installation. The video on the right is taken from a stationary tripod and includes a scene with a rotating advertising kiosk. The video on the left is taken from a camera mounted to the kiosk. The videos are synchronized so that the viewer sees two perspectives on the same space.
This video is part of the Pulse Project that deals with automated, changing advertising and the urban rhythms of public space. In addition, this installation facilitates a reversal of The Gaze. One video presents the traditional view of the citizen on the advertising, while the other video presents the advertising looking back at us.
In installation, these videos are projected onto adjacent walls.
