Limberlost is a prototype designed to test some assumptions we had about narrative-focused social AR-scanning adventures that take place in physical space. We've play-tested it with several groups in different locations. As we develop Aconite, there will be many more experiments of this type, and people will use the Aconite app to browse and play them. Some of them will be location-based, some will be stationary, some will be social, and some will be solitary. This app shows that we can prototype quickly (we built this in 3 weeks) and also shows that we have the functionality built for scannable AR, a hint system, and branching narratives, which can be used for many different types of mixed-reality experiences.
