Ramsey County’s new Sheriff, Jack Serier, is well known by those who now report to him. He served for two years as Chief Deputy, and before that Undersheriff of the Public Safety Services Division in Arden Hills and as manager of the Water Patrol, Dive Team and the Canine Unit. Sheriff Serier was also educated locally at Hamline University, with a masters degree and a doctorate from the University of St. Thomas. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. As Sheriff he also looks forward to continuing sharing the knowledge he has gained over his career by teaching and he sits on the boards of Northeast Youth and Family Services and Minnesota Crimestoppers.
