I did a small exercise and study of the concept of 'mise en bande', and used a section of this documentary called Up Down Around (2011) to recreate the sound design. I wanted to use this to capture a sense of not only being in that room, but being able to hyper-focus on specific sounds by objects (eg. the water tap, the rain, the train through the window) which can occur for some people who can have heightened senses. I hope that I somewhat blurred the line between what could be diegetic and non-diegetic with this clip; the sound of reverbs and natural resonance could be audibly sensory to someone, but not necessary for everyone, for example. I also wanted to get some tones out of the ambiences and reverbs of the room and water tap. This is likely not perfect by any means but hey let me do something creative with sound design once in a while, huh,
