"The inheritance of a piece of land for four brothers starts an infinite series of tragedies. Greed, pride and sense of duty taken to their extreme consequences. Uncle Bubbles."
Uncle Bubbles is a low- budget short film shooted and edited between June and august 2010. The movie is interpreted by amateur actors with an experimental technique developed and improved on my three previous works: "Paolo", "Ermanno", and "Arturo". This working method, that i called "Improvvision", put improvisation on the center of the film system. By this way we can progress with an open canvas, that we can also call "liquid script" with no dialogues, but just only situations and descriptions of the atmosphere. It's right here that come out characters and they are located on the center's action to extricate on it with the target of reaching a point of connection established and useful to advance the narrative. Each component of the film can be rediscussed, refuted and adapted as needed. This kind of work gives to the audiovisual product a malleable nature that allows not to sacrifice the emotional nature of work because of unforeseen, but to profit by it as integral parts of the narrative structure. The short was shot with amateur actors from Villacidro (VS) and recited entirely in campidanese - south west Sardinian language.
Original soundtrack was created by Stefano Guzzetti (http://www.stefanoguzzetti.com)
