These were the first tests done for an undisclosed project that was canned in 2008. They showed the first tests of the navigation system of a warfare based game.
The video shows the smooth parametric blending and complete control of the animation states from standing all the way through to sprinting with crouching, attack strafe low and high. All animations blended together to produce one seamless action between all states. Unfortunately you can't see it here but there was no foot sliding between animations even before IK was added, grounding the solider to the world.
This was early stages and we planned to do a lot more, but this would of been the foundation, animations would of adapted to terrain, surroundings, emotional state and situations. More transitions were planned but then the project was canceled.
