The 2-3/4 minute video above takes you on a walk-through of the nonpartisan experiential exhibition, “I Approve this Message: Decoding Political Ads,” created to bring you into-the-know so that you’ll never be influenced by political messaging in quite the same way again.
As it’s video and digital, the exhibit is modular and can be recreated to fit space requirements. It spreads the word about the manipulative techniques politicians use to impact the four key voter emotions, utilizing primarily four theaters -- Fear…Anger…Hope…Pride -- and a Mood Room.
Designed to be an immersive environment that enlightens while it entertains, the exhibit launched in 2016 at The Toledo Museum of Art the same week as the Republican and Democrat national conventions. Surprising, its sponsors included supporters of Trump and supporters of Hillary.
