After two terrible earthquakes in Nepal in April and May 2015, a small team from the Irish Nepalese Educational Trust (INET) trekked up to the Solu District in the lap of Mount Everest. In November 2015, they went to inspect schools and community buildings supported by INET, some of which have been badly damaged. While learning about earthquake proofing building techniques, they prepared a plan for repair and rebuilding. Even in such awful circumstances, the Nepalese people will endure these conditions for many years to come, with typical fortitude and cheerfulness. They are still able to party and remain incredibly hospitable.
