Eberstadt and Charvin collaborated on The Hutto Project, a music and performing arts education program for children of displaced populations living in an emergency refugee camp in Berlin. Three times a week, Eberstadt led a choral music and performance course to students between the ages of 3-14 coming from Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, and Moldova.
In class, Brune Charvin taught the students V'la L'Bon Vent, a french folk song. It adopted special meaning on our class.
This choral arrangement was written as a reflection on their class while Eberstadt was artist in residence at The Watermill Center January 2017. It will be used in a documentary on The Hutto Project directed by Brune Charvin, to be released in 2018.
