These pictures are of orphans in orphanages supported by Friends of Burma, Inc. Our vice-President, Phil Schock took most of these in January 2011. We wanted to see how our orphanages are doing. Inflation has become a problem for Myanmar, and the orphanages are struggling to provide food and educational fees for the children.
Our care is Christ-centered and faith-based, and we are in need of more supporters.
Life in Myanmar (Burma) is very hard. Most village families barely subsist. They endure persecution, ethnic conflict, inadequate health care, poverty, and disease. Children are also left parent-less by natural disasters such as Cyclone Nargis. Some of the children in this video are survivors of Cyclone Nargis. Many times children are abandoned by parents unable to care for them.
Through Friends of Burma, you can support these children for only $20/month or $240/year. 100% of your donation goes to the orphans. All administration in the US is done by volunteers. If God touches your heart, pass this video on to your friends.
