My latest project in Minecraft, again inspired by Harbinger, is an "animation studio."
A 5-clock is linked to an AND gate with an ON-switch way out front. This follows to a series of five T Flip Flops which generate my 5 bits for the counter. This give me a count of 32, (though I've only got 28 frames lined up.) Due to delays introduced by the inverters and repeaters over such mad distances, I added even more repeaters and adjusted them to ensure all five bit signals arrive at the logic gates at the same time.
These signals arrive at individual logic gate systems that handle specific binary inputs. I wasn't pressed for space, so to make my life easier I gave each value it's own floor - four floors per building. (Every effort was made to ensure all signals arrived at the same time in order to sync everything up, however there still appears to be some flickering... could be my system, could be something else. Am open to ideas...)
These logic gates activate a "program" strip that displays the pixels of a given frame, by lighting up torches along the side that activate the bus below. There are 36 pixels in total for a 6x6 display.
This system obviously needs more tweaking. And my designs, admittedly, aren't that great. I'd love to send out the save file to anyone who was interested in incorporating this into a greater design, or who wanted to play around with it, improve upon the design, or just create some neat animations.
Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed it!
