The federal funding bill, HR 1, is riddled with amendments that take aim at critical environmental protections, and resemble something like a wish-list for oil companies and other big polluters. The bill would slash funding for the federal EPA by 30 percent — the largest percentage in 30 years, putting our air, water, and open spaces at risk.
On March 1, Environment California convened a group of L.A. City Council members, and environmental and public health leaders — from the Sierra Club, the Natural Resource Defense Council, American Lung Association in California to Energy Independence Now — to oppose these anti-environmental measures.
