Midwest Drift Union (MDU) announced today their expansion plans for 2011 along with their series schedule. “In the follow-up to our successful 2010 season, MDU will again be the place for premier drivers to earn their opportunity to drive against the pros of Formula D. With this being our second year as a Pro-AM event, we’ve raised the bar with unseen track variety and challenge. This will be our most intense year yet, put your big boy suits on, it’s going to get serious…” stated Sarmiento.
All general information on the event format, point systems, etc., will be on the new Midwest Drift Union website set to launch later this month. Check the forum for the latest information.
“We have expanded to work with several different groups around the Midwest with similar views on where grassroots drifting is headed.” stated co-founder of Drift Indy, TR Scrivner. “This is the best year planned yet and will be bringing the best drivers out of our region.”
In Jon’s opinion, co-founder of MDU, “The biggest news for the 2011 series is our date at Nashville Super Speedway. We’re very excited to work with Barry Clap of Tenn Drift down there to put on a great event.”
We’re currently working with several sponsors for the 2011 season, and they’ll be announced at the launch of the website. If you’re interested in working with MDU in 2011 please contact us.
