This is my short piece with my Panasonic AF100 on the world famous folk artist Leonard Knight. For over 30 years he has lived in the middle of the desert east of the Salton Sea building "Salvation Mountain", a monument made from adobe, house paint and odd junk found in the desert. He lives in a small cabin on the back of a broken down flatbed truck with no water, electricity or comforts.
Upon speaking with him you feel his love for all of humanity and that his message is a simple and universal one.
Upon his passing, it was relayed to me by his caretaker that my film was one of their favorites. This has always held a special significance for me.
