Here's a character from the game series Oddworld, "Abe," which I modeled for an organic modeling course at the Digital Animation Center (UCDenver). I created a basemesh in Maya, subdivided a few times and added detail in Mudbox, then imported to ZBrush for even finer details and posing. The final scene was rendered with (mostly) hand-painted textures in Maya with a displacement map I exported from ZBrush :) If I had my druthers (and the render farm!) I'd definitely render more close-ups and work on the texturing more, especially around the face. Overall, I feel it was a successful project.
