On Thursday, February 9th, Infinite Hero Foundation's board of directors were proud to host the first V.I.S.I.T. (Veterans Innovation Society Investing & Technology) dinner at Oakley's global headquarters in Foothill Ranch, CA. The intimate evening featured an exclusive meal prepared by Master Chef Joachim Splichal, presented by his team at Patina restaurant group and produced by With Fresh Eyes events. Special Veteran guests included Infinite Hero grant recipients Blayne Smith, Team RWB; Jake Wood, Team Rubicon; Jon Warren, Brain Treatment Center; along with Jason Redman, Combat Wounded Coalition; Gary and Mari Linfoot, Infinite Hero grant committee co-chairmen; Derek Herrera, MARSOC Foundation; Mike Wilson, Infinite Hero event consultant; and WWII Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Robert Friend, who will be celebrating his 97th birthday later this month! Guests also included Dr. Magali Haas, President of Cohen Veterans Bioscience; Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call of Duty Endowment; Terry Schmidt and Jeff Tarbell of Guild Mortgage, who recently donated more than $116,000 to place a ReWalk device at the VA hospital in San Diego; Infinite Hero's NHRA Funny Car sponsor Terry Chandler and driver Jack Beckman, and racing legend Don Schumacher, who joined the Infinite Hero board earlier that day! Don graciously pledged $50,000 to Infinite Hero and was matched another $50,000 by Colin and Laura Baden as a highlight of the event!
