I live streamed artist Marina Abramovic's "Performance Art and its Future" talk from SCAD Atlanta as part of SCAD's deFINE ART 2011 program. The lecture took place from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011.
From the deFINE ART schedule: "Performance and visual art pioneer and the 2011 deFINE ART honoree Marina Abramovic's lecture follows the trajectory of performance art from the 1970s to the present. Her presentation poses the following questions: What is the future of performance art? Can it be re-performed? If so, under what conditions? Can it be taught and how? Can it be collected? Is it part of our mainstream culture or not?"
This video was recorded at 640x480, the best available option for a live stream.
