New Jersey Symphony under Music Director Jacques Lecombe performs New York-based Iranian composer Behzad Ranjbaran's Seemorgh Trilogy, along with Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherezade in a concert dedicated to Middle Eastern influenced symphonic music called "The Arabian Night." Ranjbaran tells VOA Persian TV's Behnam Natgeghi that his work is inspired by the story in the epic Persian poem the Shahnameh (The Book of Kings).
