As drug-resistant parasites cause the veterinary community to rethink parasite control, this program guides you through a comprehensive study of all the common parasites, how horses are infected, and the health threats parasites pose.

You learn about fecal egg count testing and manure management to lessen the horse's exposure to infective larvae. The program examines the current dewormers, both chemical and drug-free - and talks about what works and what doesn't.

Veterinarians from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and the Gluck Equine Research Center give information necessary to practice the current protocols for sustainable parasite control. The program is 2 hours and is intended for all riders and equine caregivers.
