Prepared for BA, MFA students at the California Institute of Arts fracture Space is an experimental animation workshop that explores the vastness between conceptualizing and actualizing unconventional motion through a hands-on project room workshop that investigates anti-narratives, materials and the processes that unify fine art and animation.
Fractured Space introduces improvisational approaches to creating animation experiments by tracking and responding to a series of thoughts, specific materials and sound components.
To take animation out of its perceived contextualization by shifting and repurposing its creation process and platform of delivery. The workshops are anchored in the ideology of improvisation and direct approaches of generating hand made sequences of moving imagery.
