This Plasma Films production was directed by Brian Ouellette and co-written by Ouellette and Helen Williams, author of "Coach Like A Mother".
The documentary film chronicles Coach Ronald "Rocky" Nelson's final season as Woburn Tanner head football coach. He worked for 17 years as an assistant coach before getting the head coach position in 1986. Coach Nelson spent the next 31 years doing what he loved - coaching the Woburn Tanners! His journey had many ups and downs including winning seasons, lost championships and a Super Bowl victory in 2005 over Newton North.
The film focuses on Coach Rocky's final season, his reflections on his association with his players and his candid reasons for retiring, all culminating with the climactic last game on Thanksgiving Day, 2016 where two rival 5 and 5 teams, Woburn & Winchester were fighting for a winning season and with the Woburn Tanners determined to send Rocky off with a win!
