PLANE—SITE attended “Garden City Mega City: Ecosistemas Urbanos de WOHA,” a multimedia exhibition presenting over two decades of practice by the award-winning international design firm WOHA at the Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico as part of the Mextrópoli International Festival of Architecture and Urbanism.
The exhibition featured sixteen intricate architectural models, large scale photography by Patrick Bingham-Hall, an immersive video installation and documentary building portraits produced by PLANE—SITE. Unveiling a new method of city planning that blends the earlier architectural movements of the garden city and the hyper-dense mega city, WOHA hopes to bring a more natural quality of life to large populations. Their method was developed in response to the growing urban crisis in the era of global warming in a way that prioritizes sustainability and socialibility.
