This week, the connection from last week’s teaching (the above summary information) is completed. Pastor Don shows that God and His Word are one, and as such the Word of God is so glorious that the things it promises us must be given in “seed form,” later producing the glorious fruit of God’s “exceeding great and precious promises.” In our natural state, we would not be able to withstand the glory were God to just drop it down from Heaven upon us. The clarity of this is important to grasp:
Isaiah 55:8-11 AMP For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. (9) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. (10) For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [II Cor. 9:10.] (11) So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
This was God’s Word to Moses and Israel:
Deuteronomy 30:12-14 LITV “It is not in the heavens that you should say, Who shall go up into the heavens for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, that we may do it? (13) And it is not beyond the sea that you should say, Who shall cross over for us to the region beyond the sea and take it for us, and cause us to hear it, that we may do it? (14) For the Word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.”
The seed planted within our hearts for faith in God’s “glorious promises” reaches for the glory of the fruit that the seed is able to produce. Unfortunately, for too long, the body of Christ has come short of the faith needed to connect with the glorious fruit of God’s promised provisions of both spiritual and tangible things needed. One challenge is getting the Church to see just how glorious is God’s Word. It represents all that God has in “seed form.” The Church does not value the Word of God as highly as they would if they realized it is the connection we have to all the glorious provisions from Heaven. We look for things – for the fruit of God’s provision – but because it contains the magnitude of His glory, He had to place it in seed form to get it to us. Then, through a process of faith we are able to “connect” with His glory.
In this great season, Psalms 102 promises us that the “set time” has come for Him to favor (to bend and stoop over to an inferior to bestow His gifts) the body of Christ and give us the added help needed to connect with His glory.
Get ready for much revelation of scripture in this teaching.
