BETWEEN BEAT AND BLUE
To desire and at the same time dismiss, to long for but not wanting the changes it brings, to think one thing but feel another. Can one see and experience change in a different way, from a different place? In conflicting emotions, I push forward and hold back, I stand still and keep moving.
CARMEN OLSSON - dancer and choreographer, has developed a strong and sensitive artistic expression. Her Swedish-Spanish heritage is reflected and rinsed in a meeting with buto and different aspects of Japanese culture.
Music - HARALD SVENSSON, made music for several of Carmen's works, in this piece he collaborates with Japanese musician Karin Nakagawa.
Music – KARIN NAKAGAWA, her improvisations on Japanese 25-string Koto is computer generated for the composition.
