‘Mermaids: The Body Found’ is a feature film that screened on Animal Planet. ‘Mermythology’ is the ‘Making of’ featurette that appears on the DVD of the film. The film itself garnered Animal Planet its second biggest viewing ever at the time of its premier. “The phenomenon of Mermaids has truly been a watershed – and a watercooler – moment for Animal Planet,” said Animal Planet president Marjorie Kaplan.
The ‘Making of’ mimics the narrative line of the feature film, a conspiracy mystery/ scientific procedural that lies somewhere between fact and fiction, drama and documentary. This clip is the intro.
