This video is a documentation of participants moving through the VR experience, and the wall projection displays what they see as they move through it.
It is remarkable that we and everything around us are made of particles that are not touching, and that particles constantly pass through our bodies. Thinking of the world from this perspective can shift feelings of empathy, morality, decision making, and one's overall sense of reality. This immersive work isolates and extends that experience so that it can be contemplated more. The particle simulations in this work are derived from subatomic particle behavior (neutrinos) in cloud chambers at the CERN and TRIUMF physics labs, which contain a solution that reveals particle tracks as they pass through the chambers.
