How would you live your life if you discovered you had an incurable disease? This is the question we explore in this poignant documentary about the women who are living with metastatic breast cancer.
Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) is also known as stage 4-breast cancer. Approximately 30% of women with breast cancer will have the disease spread, and receive the diagnosis of MBC. There is no cure. In the last 40 years the Metastatic Breast Cancer death toll has not changed significantly, nor has the mean survival rate of 3 years. Despite early detection, and new treatments, we are not doing enough for the 30% of breast cancer patients that experience metastatic disease.
This documentary looks at the journey of the women who have the disease, the researchers and physicians who are trying to cure it, and the youngest generation that is at risk and are fighting for more funding and better treatment.
