When thinking of God's promises, it is possible to become so focused on the benefit that will come to us when we see His Word fulfilled, that we miss a very important element of the miracle of His grace -- the glory of God Himself residing within the Word.
Sometime in preaching and teaching regarding The Day of Jehovah Tsaba (Lord of hosts), folks will treat it like a particular model of car that they don't particularly like, or the style of shoes they see in the store. But when we speak of a "God-Event," like The Day of Jehovah Tsaba, we are not talking as much about the event as we are of the "God" who has prophetically promised its fulfillment.
After Moses brought the nation of Israel out of Egyptian bondage, we redirected their focus back on to the "source" of the event:
Deuteronomy 4:32-39 KJV (32) For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? (33) Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live? (34) Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? (35) Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him. (39) Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else."
The "greatest event since God created Adam..." Wow! What an event that was, yet this event was even greater. Now in Haggai 2:5-9, He speaks of an event yet to come to the Church, in which he declares,"According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt... (9) The glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former, says Jehovah of Hosts.
How glorious is God's Word, His promises through which we receive from him in faith. This event, The Day of Jehovah Tsaba, will demonstrate the glory of God's Word beyond anything God has ever done in the earth.
