How does a Litelok Gold stand up to leverage attacks? We got the biggest guy in our factory to try to break a Litelok Gold with a tool similar to a crowbar. He couldn’t do it! He didn’t even come close. This isn’t the only testing we have done. Litelok Gold is the result of years of research, design and testing, often using machines that can apply forces far greater than any human possibly can. Importantly though, Litelok Gold has been independently tested by Sold Secure, the UK’s most trusted bike lock testing organisation, achieving their highest possible security rating: Sold Secure Bicycle Gold.
The strap of Litelok Gold is made from a patented composite material called Boaflexicore. This new material is comprised of layers of revolutionary materials that are light and strong. Each layer offers more protection, meaning Litelok’s can withstand sustained attack from common theft tools, including crowbars, bolt cutters, cable cutters, hammer and chisel and more. Litelok Gold was invented by Prof. Neil Barron. Neil came up with the idea after having many of his bicycles stolen, and was annoyed with having to carry around cumbersome, heavy bike locks.
