If a man roars, he’s dynamic
If a woman roars, she’s hysterical
The trilogy “Animal Magnetism” by Henriette Pedersen is a tribute to all hysterics throughout human history. The first written sources describing hysteria are on papyrus from 1900 B.C. The syndrome is strongly tied to the female sex, therefore the name “hysteria,” Greek for uterus.
Animal Magnetism 2 will act out the recognition and undermining of the hysterics’ arena(s) – where, amongst other, Freud’s theories on penis envy are being investigated.
