"MOX" is a short film about the life of a cereal mascot fighting an existential crisis. It's a metaphor for the hardships of everyday workers in a globalised economy.
"MOX" was a team effort of Ralph Baudach and Marc Hoffmann. They produced the film in 2007/2008 during a half-year stay in Manila/Philippines as part of their studies. "MOX" is classic 2D cel animation with live-action scenes, combined in Adobe After Effects.
"MOX" was funded by the State Chancellery of Thuringia/Germany and Goethe-Institut Manila/Philippines. It was screened at 10th Cinemanila Film Festival and at 24th Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market 2009.
