In 2009, prestigious San Diego corporation, Barney & Barney celebrated their 100th year of doing business and serving as a California mainstay by asking themselves: How can we give back to the community that has been integral to our success? How can we help in our communities?
To answer that question and solidify their commitment to giving back the community, the associates and Principals of the company formed the Barney & Barney Foundation, created to:
• Support those in need
• Assist youth
• Advance the arts
• And protect the environment,
Each year, charities are nominated by associates to receive grants. Associates and Principals go the distance to fundraise for these worthy charities. Fundraising culminates with a celebration in the fall.
In the Foundation's first two years, hundreds of thousands of dollars were given to charities such as Operation Homefront, Rady Children’s Hospital, Center for Community Solutions, Neighborhood House Association, Ronald McDonald House and many more…because of the hard work of their associates and donor partners.
THANK YOU to everyone who has helped with this effort.
