HYPE - Helping Young People Evolve
Alcohol, drugs, sex, education, crime, gangs what isn't a problem? As young people progress on the path to adulthood what real provision is there for them to successfully navigate the torrid journey called life?
Every new day presents young people with issues that further compound problems they're contending. As society is now forced into adopting measures of austerity there is consequently a real and growing concern as to what kind of future the young of today will face as adults of tomorrow. Not a promising one it seems.
HYPE recognises Young People are the foundation of our future society and so must be equipped socially, emotionally and intellectually to deal effectively with the circumstances they face today and will do tomorrow. Such, that as they progress towards adulthood they contribute towards producing a more conscientious, vibrant community.
HYPE takes a holistic approach in pro-actively engaging young people individually and collectively, motivating them and inspiring them. Helping them to identify and achieve their aims and ambitions through positive mentoring and role models. It is about assisting them to develop routes into mainstream communities and towards becoming positive influencers and contributors.
It's hard work but when you see the outcomes it is really worth it. HYPE is social responsibility to the young in action.
Life is so precious a gift, to allow it to waste away without experiencing the zenith of what it can truly achieve is a travesty.
