ver since 9/11, when Bush made the "Axis of Evil" speech (referring to Iran, Iraq, and North Korea) I have vowed to do my individual part as an American to reach out to as many people as possible, to let them know that not all Americans are hostile to their cultures. My ultimate goal is to sow the seeds of peace one mind at a time. So I logged into various regional yahoo chat rooms and met many people from all over the world. I met many Iranian citizens, so many of whom are just like me, trying to cope in a small world where their government doesn't represent our ideals.
We, as citizens of a single world, must look beyond the policies of our leaders, and use technology to strengthen our understanding of each other.
After the 2009 Iranian Elections and subsequent protests I wanted to do much more to get involved. After I learned of the Revolution in Tunisia, I began to diligently pay attention to the unfolding events in Egypt. I was moved to tears a number of times at the peaceful demonstrations. I was also horrified at some of the violence against the protestors. Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr. would be very proud to see how peace prevailed in Egypt despite the few who sought to disrupt it.
As the Middle East continued to erupt in youthful revolt, I continued to hope for the best, and yet I was so dismayed at the events against the Libyan people and I remain very angry at my government for turning a cold shoulder to the indiscriminate killings going on there.
As I type these lines, no action has yet been taken in the newly chartered No-Fly Zone.
Despite whatever goes on as these events move forward, I still remain hopeful that people in all regions of the world will live in prosperity.
The words that appear in this video have been translated in Farsi and Arabic so as to appeal to a broader audience. I hope the translations accurately communicate my devotion to a harmonious existence between our cultures.
As I type these lines, as you watch this video wherever you are, at this present moment people around the world are dying fighting against brutal governments. The world is watching you. I am with you.
Those of you who have not yet taken it upon yourselves to arise against oppression...I will be with you when you do.

This project is an original work composed on a Moog Voyager, Ring Modulator and Phaser, the Ring Mod being sequenced by a q119. THe strings, and orchestral parts are courtesy of a Roland Fantom G8. This portion of the work that appears in this video is going to be the second part of a larger "symphony" with three movements which will come later.
