This week, as Pastor Don celebrates his 43 year in fulltime ministry, he opens up in teaching to share many things about the miracles that began on the eventful dawn of the Sunday morning of April 21st, 1974. While it took 3 ½ days before dramatic manifestations began occurring, it was in the minutes surrounding that “sunrise” that brought into play the past 43 years of walking in divine health and finding success in life.
Pastor Don says, “The will is the key ingredient in all that receive from God. The human will is the element that engages God. Before faith can be activated there must be a force of will power applied. A weak will paralyzes faith. A strong will engages God and opens the door for faith’s great response and action.
It took a year of constant “crying out” to God before Pastor Don found Him and the miracles that ensued. Daily, after his work hours, when he would come home, he would pray, “Oh God! Where are you? Where did you go? I must find you in order to go on with my life!” He didn’t know how to pray, and although he had read the Bible through each year since childhood, he didn’t know just how close God really was to him.
Romans 10:6-10 WNT “But the righteousness which is based on faith speaks in a different tone. "Say not in your heart," it declares, "'Who shall ascend to Heaven?'" --that is, to bring Christ down; (7) "nor 'Who shall go down into the abyss?'" --that is, to bring Christ up again from the grave. (8) But what does it say? "The Message is close to you, in your mouth and in your heart;" that is, the Message which we are publishing about the faith-- (9) that if with your mouth you confess Jesus as Lord and in your heart believe that God brought Him back to life, you shall be saved. (10) For with the heart men believe and obtain righteousness, and with the mouth they make confession and obtain salvation.”
One of the first verses Pastor Don, as a little boy, had memorized, still he didn’t have a clue that the same way He accepted Christ and obtained salvation was the same answer for whatever he needed to receive by faith in God. All the while he was engaging his “will” to cry out to heaven for the Lord to “come down” and give him help, had he known, he could have simply taken God’s eternal Word, that he had over a lifetime put in his heart, and placed it in his mouth, confessing that what God’s Word declared about him was truth and could be made into reality for his life. He could have said, “With His stripes (wounds), I am healed!”
After attending 3 days/nights of a “Faith Teaching Seminar” hosted by Charles Capps and Jerry Savelle ministries, Pastor Don learned how to exercise his “strong will” that had kept him crying out to God for a year in a different way. Instead of using it to beg, plead and cry, he began very forcibly “acting” on God’s Word. Later, he would hear the act of using his will in this manner described by Kenneth Copeland as “putting pressure on the Word.” What does that mean? It means you engage your “will” in the most forceful way to believe and stand on God’s eternal promises.
Joshua 1:8-9 LITV This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, and you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you shall be on guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall prosper your way, and then you shall act wisely. (9) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and brave. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for Jehovah your God is with you in all places where you go.
Get ready for much revelation of teaching & testimony.
