Collaborative Enlightenment is the name of a light system (concept) made to interactively participate in a lighting installation with multiple people. By interacting with the tiles via touch movements, different lights, colours and light behaviours can be activated. Together, users can playfully make an unlimited number of light scenes by letting their lights collide. This prototype makes use of a beamer to project the creation of lights and their overlaps on the tiles: the cursor represents the touch of a user. The current prototype only supports a single touch interaction: future improvements would include other interaction possibilities like swiping and zooming, as well as multi-touch support.
