The panel discussed what role financial regulators and supervisors, governments, international development institutions and agencies can play in promoting gender equality and the economic empowerment of women. They also addressed how gender equality and women’s economic participation are central to financial inclusion, and key drivers of achieving the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda.
