High Quality
Righteousness and Sinners Part 2
Matthew 7:3-5
March 20, 2011

Summary: Jesus forbids looking at the speck (unrepentant sin) in a brother’s eye (life) while there is a log (much bigger unrepentant sin) in your own. That is hypocrisy (acting) because you are pretending to care about holiness when you really don’t. Your sin should always appear more severe because you can see under the surface in your life but can only see your brother’s actions (and must assume the best about what is under the surface). You must remove the log (repent) and the purpose of that is so you can remove the speck (learn Biblical Counseling!).
