(land)moves - a world that mankind can influence but not control

-- this demo just shows the raw materials put together, no mapping and no gestural reactivity yet --
(land)moves is an interactive installation which relates users movements to the evolving audiovisual landscape they have in front.
user’s gestures affect the system according to two levels of reactivity. A flock of polygon in the front- ground of the scene immediately reacts to hands movements, providing a quick feedback to gestures, while the landscape in back-ground slowly evolve depending on a longer analysis of user’s motion.
(land)moves is developed within the moves framework, which aims to create a system where sounds and images are generated and modulated according to the same set of parameters. Such parameters are given by the analysis of the user’s gestures and are coherently interpreted in real time by the audio and video engines.
