Produced by Breakaway Media this hour documentary reveals the many challenges facing Great & Little Bay and its watershed. Great Bay is a regional and national treasure that has significant, tangible value and is critical to the local economy, recreational activity and wildlife subsistence. The goal of this film is to educate and inform communities in this 52 town wide watershed about the reasons for its decline and explores potential degradation from further development and infrastructure installations. These threats could push the fragile ecosystem to a tipping point beyond which it may not ever recover.
An informed community is one that plays an active role protecting its resources. Making informed, educated decisions and working together can lead us toward a more sustainable future.
At Breakaway Media we were motivated by our kids and the next generation to produce this documentary. It's hard to encourage them to pursue their dreams when we continue to make their journey into the future more and more challenging every day.
Time was of the essence and we couldn’t stop to fundraise. Now we're asking you to help defray the cost of production. Tax-deductible donations can be made through the Lamprey River Watershed Association at npo.justgive.org/nonprofits/donate.jsp?ein=22-2509281. Be sure to select Documentary; “Great Bay, and Estuary in Peril” under programs. Checks can be made out payable to the LRWA and sent to Carl Spang, Treasurer, 55 Wiswall Road, Durham, NH 03824.
Thank you for your support and helping to get this important information about Great Bay to as many people as possible. Your support of this local film is critical!
