Final project for my Matte Painting class at the Academy of Art University. Lots and Lots of layers separated in Photoshop and brought into After Effects for a 3D camera move.
The light in the window was an actual 3d space within A.E., precomped and inserted into the main composition. A moving light was parented to several nulls and animated across the scene with wiggle applied to the null (for shake) and to the light (for flicker).
There are also layers of moving ground fog and a corner pin effect on the moving background clouds. Lots of adjustment layers for color and contrast as well.
