The Rise School of Dallas is located at The Moody Family YMCA and joined the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas in August 2016. Since 1998, the Rise School of Dallas has continuously touched the lives of children who otherwise might not have received this type of specialized education. Originally established at the University of Alabama, there are several Rise Schools throughout the country including many in Texas, The Rise School of Houston, The Rise School of Austin and The Rise School of Dallas. Rise Schools are non-profit organizations that continue to provide one of the best early childhood educational programs for children with and without developmental disabilities.
The Rise School of Dallas provides the highest quality of early childhood education services to children with Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities and to children without disabilities in an inclusive classroom setting with master's level educators and on-staff speech, occupational, physical, and music therapists.
We believe that the MORE intervention we offer to children with developmental disabilities during their formative pre-school years means the LESS support they will require in adulthood and the more they will be able to contribute to society. The true benefit of a Rise early childhood education is success in K-12. Indeed, 99% of Rise graduates will enter mainstream kindergarten. We expect most to graduate high school, some to attend college, and most to become employable adult citizens.
