We invited some recent graduates of The Summit Country Day School to talk about how prepared they were for college. In particular, we were interested in how our graduates fared at the most demanding colleges or in the most demanding programs in large universities. What they say supports data we collected from our most recent survey among our graduates in college:
• 93% said they were “well” or “very well” prepared compared to 88% of their peers who graduated from other independent schools.
• 89% ranked their “overall academic ability” higher than their college peers compared to 75% of graduates from other independent schools.
• 89% ranked their “writing ability” higher than their college peers. 77% of graduates from other independent schools ranked their writing ability as higher.
It’s one thing to read the numbers. It’s another to hear from the mouths or our graduates how they felt about their experience at The Summit. Take a look and explore The Summit at summitcds.org.
